Can You See the Problem?
Have you ever looked around recently and seen a problem around you?
It could be at home, in your neighbourhood, your country. Have you ever seen the potential the area you live in and just wish someone could change the area or scene?
Day in, day out, you complain on how people could change the landscape of things. How if "so and so" did what you are offering, then maybe, just maybe, this problem would be solved.
These are the thoughts that rock my mind day in and day out.
I am a silent observer and I like to observe what is going around me. The funny thing is that in the closet of my mind, I flow with solutions and ideas on how it could be changed. When I share my views with a person I like to engage with in conversation and they ask,
"Well, why don't you be that change?"
I usually shy away and use the usual excuses: my age, my gender, my influence, the list goes on.
Sadly, I am not the only one who thinks like this.
I have come across all sorts of people who like to complain and give the solution at the same time. They expect someone, somewhere to come and implement their ideas and make the change yet they do not know that the very person who could do that is themselves.
In this article, I came to address that issue. I hope and believe that by the end of this article, you can be encouraged to "become the change you want to see".
Reader, greatness and leadership is not just for the elite, the chosen. It is for the people who desire to step out of the box and make a change for others, regardless of the risks involved.
I believe that we are authentically created, hand crafted, not manufactured. This means that each person has a unique responsibility to create a better environment, which is what we call purpose.
I believe that it is time for you to shift your focus from the problems around you and looking down on yourself, making yourself seem smaller than you really are. It is time to look within yourself, wake up the inner leader within you and begin to work your dream!
May I submit to you that the very fact that you can see the problem, and even offer a solution and that it bothers you every day, every minute, means you are the solution.
We live in a world in which problems are arising everyday and affecting people every day. They are numerous and different and not only one man in the world alone can solve them.
The very fact that you have an ability to see something wrong and have a drive to form a solution is a sign that your calling is calling you.
Now the thing is, as long as it remains in your head and you do not put your hands to the plough and make the solution come to reality, the problem will not be solved. In fact in most instances, people will take your idea and do ten times better than you expected.
Unfair? No, not really. You have the power to decide to arise and make a difference, because you are that difference...or watch someone else do it better than you.
Do not entertain the thought that you do not have the qualifications, you are too young, too old, too short, too tall, inexperienced.
Let me submit to you that if you can use what you have, much grace will be provided for you to do greater than what you have.
Jeremiah once said that he was "but a youth" in Jeremiah 1:6, but God told him not to fear because He would not leave him and He would protect Jeremiah no matter what (Jeremiah 1:8).
God cannot call you to do something He has not graced you to do. He is intentional, wise and understanding. It will be inevitable that you will go through trials, but they are the fire that makes the gold within you increase in value.
For as Romans 8:19 says, "For all creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God."
It is your time to arise....
