3) BREAK OUT!
Once a seed has broken its outer structure, new organs grow out. As it begins to grow leaves, it needs need sunlight but the ground is not an essential environment for this. The conditions are not right. When it reaches this stage, it means that it is time to break out.
Break out means that there is a sign of transition. What you have been subjected to for training has brought new things that need to be shown. You cannot stay underground forever: it is a stage, not a destination. It is mandatory to come out because the ground is not your destiny: the sky is.
Joseph, when put in the prison for wrong means in Genesis 40:14, that his time in the prison had expired. He knew that was not his destiny. He was not comfortable with comfortable, meaning that even though he was on top of his game, he did not belong there. Break out is an unavoidable part of the process and it is coming!
4) BLOOM
Now that the former seed is extending outwards, getting taller, it gains a new identity: a tree. As you grow out, the name you had before, associated with old order will become obselete. You will be known by a new, better name.
As the tree grows taller, other trees around it are growing also, some taller, bigger. Others shorter. Take this from the tree. It grows despite the others being different than it. It is easy to become intimidated because the others are bigger than you. But you don't know what their purpose. Theirs is different from you. Also, at the end of the day, you are all pursuing the same thing - The Sun [ the Son: Jesus Christ). He also told Peter in John 21, when He called Peter and John followed, that He if He intended John to do something different, it shouldn't concern you too much. Just focus on Him
A stage has come now: the time to bear fruit. It is essential for a fruit tree to bear fruit {we are looking at fruit trees for this context}. To bear fruit, there must be a flower. Flowers vary from tree to tree, but to bear fruit, there must be wind and bees.
A flower represents your talent. The wind is the Holy Spirit and the bees are the men God sends to make your dream fruitful. The wind and bees cannot invest in the tree if there is no flower that is ready. Similarly, don't expect anything if you do not put in the works to showcase your gift. Do not expect anyone to invest in a dream you can't invest in. Faith without works is dead alone. If you are a writer, singer, rapper or even aspiring teacher, for example, if you do not show case your writings, songs and skills, who will invest in you? They do not know what makes you special..
Eventually, the bees will come in season. Joseph told the wine presser to deliver a message to Pharaoh to pardon him. The cup bearer remembered him because Joseph showcased his gift that God gave him, causing Joseph to elevate.
Fruits come in different seasons and times. Some are bigger than the others. It may seem discouraging for you that others are prospering and you are just stuck. Do not worry, it probably is not your season. Just because it is not your season, does not mean you will never bear fruit.It just means that yours will come in at the right place and time.
Once you bear fruit, your name will be different. You will no longer be called "tree" but you will be addressed by the fruit you bear. eg. apple tree- which could be award-winning singer.
To conclude, the process is everything. You see how a process could cause something wonderful to break out. God is not a waster of resources: He put you in a particular place to either influence others or change yourself. We have purpose, If we didn't we would not be alive now. We are alive because someone out there needs us. Once you look at things this way, your attitude shall change and you will begin to appreciate life and actually get the best of every moment.
Do not break out of the process. It is essential. Change your perspective because He is setting you up. Whilst we saw Joseph as a righteous man with bad luck, a man who kept falling into pitfalls, God was seeing a manager of a great country.
Whilst you see yourself as a writer with hopeless drafts, a singer with no record-breaking songs yet. A worker not getting promoted, a person who has missed oppurtunities but has incredible talent. A person who has made more losses in business than profit, God is seeing a superstar, a talented writer, an influential being and super business person going through a process.
I will end with my favourite scripture, Job 8:7- "Your beginning will seem so humble, so prosperous your future shall be."
